Job Description
Our client is an international player in the world of stainless steel. They purchase stainless steel scrap, process it, and supply it to steel producers worldwide. In doing so, they play a key role in the circular and sustainable steel industry.
The modern location in Dordrecht has been the beating heart of the company’s Dutch operations since 2001 and is one of the largest processing and transshipment sites for stainless steel scrap in the world. Thanks to excellent road and water connections, no two days are the same here.
Working Days and Hours
You will work full-time in two shifts:
- Day shift: 07:30 – 16:30
Evening shift: 15:00 – 22:00
What will you do?
You will ensure that the metals are always of top quality. As a quality controller, you inspect incoming stainless steel scrap and other metals, identify deviations, and record your findings.
You work closely with your colleagues in the yard and the crane operators.
Together, you make sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
With your work, you help continuously improve our processes and contribute to the sustainable recycling of metal.

What do you bring?
- You are enthusiastic and able to work accurately and precisely
- Good command of Dutch and/or English
(No Dutch? No problem, English-speaking candidates are also welcome) - Full-time availability and willingness to work in a 2-shift system
- A valid VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain one quickly
- Ability to travel to work independently; the company is located on an industrial estate (Dordrecht West)
